ERS has provided ergonomics services to clients in several industries: the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, chemical processing, financial, electronics and meatpacking.  She has also worked with journalists, home-based office owners, the office operations of any industry, insurance carriers and occupational health groups.

ERS has provided expert witness services primarily to attorneys within the tri-state area. Attorneys represent both the plaintiff and defense, for personal injury and product liability litigation, medical malpractice, Social Security and Long Term Disability, and FELA. ERS also reviews Occupational Therapy records for Standard of Care.

Ellen Rader Smith has been deposed and testified in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut; in both the state and federal courts.
